INSPECTOR MONTALBANO TOUR

Lorenzo has designed a tour that explores Agrigento (Montelusa) and Porto Empedocle (Vigata). Lovers of Inspector Montalbano will be fascinated to see with their own eyes the places described in the books by Andrea Cammilleri. Although the author uses fictitious names, the places that inspired him are real and can be visited in this tour.

Lorenzo will show you the author’s birthplace and where he spent his childhood, those places described by Cammilleri and where the Inspector has solved many of his cases: Montelusa, the beach at Marinella, the police station, the tower of Charles V and the splendid beaches at Vigata. These are the places from which Andrea Cammilleri drew inspiration and where the adventures of Italy’s most famous police detective are set. One stop which must be made is at the Commissario’s favourite bar to taste arancini or at the trattoria to have lunch with cuttlefish and other types of fresh fish.
